MAGE SPELLS
What are the spells I will get as a Mage? Which spells should I use as a Mage? People ask these common questions. The WoW Mage guide for spells will cover what spells you get as a Mage and how you can dominate with them.
Mages come with three main spell types. You can choose Fire, Frost or Arcane. Fire spells focus on DPS, especially area of effect. This is great for groups, when you do not have to worry about receiving a lot of threat and taking damage.

Frost spells are great for reducing damage and crowd control. This is best for if you are soloing or, when skilled, doing PvP. Arcane is great for mana regeneration, teleportation, and supporting the other magic casters in a group. It is great for utility, but there are also some Awesome direct damage spells in this class. Some spells do not fall into these categories.
These are just some examples of some of the spell abilities you will get as a Mage.
Fire Magic:
- Fire Blast – blast of fire damage to enemies
- Fireball – Hurls fireball doing damage over time to enemies.

The talent trees for Mage fall directly in line with your spell types. If you want to be a
DPS you should use the Fire tree. If you want to have crowd control and damage reduction,
go with Frost. If you are looking to be a support mage, with abilities to boost others go
with the Arcane tree.
