World Of Warcraft Plush

Pokemon MMO?
Why isn’t there a Pokemon MMO?
There is one game whose name has become synonymous with the word Gameboy, and I say that word is Pokemon. For over a decade,in both markets, Pokemon has been one of the leading RPGs of our time. It has spawned card games, plush dolls, action figures, mangas, multiple TV series and movies producing multi millions of dollars for the franchise but I argue it’s going stale. Pokemon still definitely has a hardcore fan basis but does quite turn out the new numbers like it used to. Pokemon Red and Blue(Red and Green in the Japanese market) sold 19 million copies and the new Pokemon Black and White has only reached a mere 1 million units. Granted Black and White have not been out for long and are solid titles that will not disappoint hardcore fans but it definitely doesn’t have the same steam that Red and Blue did.
In a time where handheld systems are being shadowed by cell-phones, the slowly dying MP3 player and laptops… it just doesn’t make sense to have a DS anymore. Gamefreak better be held in contractually to continue producing titles for a dying market. If Pokemon Black and White were released on PC platform with enhanced graphics, lets say similar to Dragon Quest IX or VIII, and where a full on MMO… I bet the numbers would be much different.
Imagine if YOU were a gym leader, fighting scores or up and coming trainers to be the top spot in the Pokemon world. All the tools for a MMO are there for Gamefreak to utilize, Black and White showed that with the new WIFI multiplayer feature. The PC with more power could support expansive tournament play not unlike World of Warcraft, where groups of trainers could battle it out for money and prizes. The Pokemon breeding and beauty contest lovers could have daily, weekly or monthly Pokemon shows and why not add the ability to craft your own Pokeballs,Medicines and Gear?
Pokemon… I love you but… get with the times!
