in warcraft 3 arthas was the good guy. i never played the expansion so i never know what happens in the end. but in world of warcraft arthas is the lich king. what happens to arthas, is he good or bad?
According to lore (I’ve never played the expansion either), he became rather obsessed with defeating the Scourge. He wanted enough power to kill them all, so he went after the sword Frostmourne. But the sword was corrupted, and when he took it out of the ice in Northrend, his body was combined with the soul of the Lich King (originally Ner’zhul). He followed the Lich King’s instructions, attacking Silvermoon and resurrecting Kel’Thuzad to gain more power. And now he controls the Scourge (well, what’s left of it, after he lost a lot of power and the Forsaken broke free).
Basically, he WAS good. But now he’s bad.
