World of Warcraft Collectible Action Figures

Just when you thought you had gotten the most out of your World of Warcraft experience, you realized that there was still more for you to enjoy. World of Warcraft may haves set new limits on PC entertainment and collectible trading card games, but the fun doesn’t end there. Fans will be proud to know that DC Comics takes the hit gaming title to a whole new level with its new line of World of Warcraft collectible action figures.

With a release scheduled for this upcoming fall, these action figures will no doubt make fine additions to any World of Warcraft fanatic’s library, so if you’re shopping for a gamer’s Christmas present, they just might top your list. A total of six models will be released in the first series, and once they hit shelves there is no question that gamers will be longing to pick up one of these collectible figures. However, it may be difficult in obtaining one of these collector’s items due to the fact that they will only be carried by a select number of retailers.

World of Warcraft has been at the top of PC gaming sales since its release in November of 2004. The production of the action figures was undertaken to give fans an opportunity to make a hobby out of a virtual pastime. The first release of figures will include a Blood Elf Rogue, an Orc Shaman, an Undead Warlock, and a Dwarf Warrior. The figures will be range between 5-8 inches in size and will be sold through select toy retailers. In addition, a second release is expected that will include two more of the larger figures, a Draenei Paladin and Illidan Stormrage.

DC Unlimited, a branch of DC Comics, is projected to release the first series of action figures in November 2007, just in time for Christmas. While it is not set in stone as to how much the figures will cost when they hit the market, various sites across the web have them available for pre-order at a price of roughly $30 for the first set of four WoW collectible action figures.

About the Author

Best World of Warcraft Guides

Warcraft Millionaire is one of the most popular WoW gold guides available on the internet. It is the system that has outsold and outshone all of its competitors ten fold. Warcraft Millionaire is a gold guide written by Brad Johnson. Out of all the WoW gold guides on the market Warcraft Millionaire definitely has a twist to it. Not only has the author decided to make a guide on how he makes massive amounts of gold in WoW but he is also the first player ever to reach 1,000,000g.

Nyhm’s Warcraft Guides package contains best strategies for making WoW gold, speed leveling, profession leveling and PvP. Nyhm’s guides will allow you to make over 250 gold per hour, level from 1 to 80 in less then 7 days, level professions lightning fast and become a PvP master killer. Package includes In-Game MapMod, updated for World of Warcraft Wrath of The Lich King, that serves for both leveling and gold mining.

Warcraft Wealth is a new gold guide for World of Warcraft. Wayne Williams wrote it based on his experiences as a gold seller. While I already have a couple of different gold guides, I figured I might as well take a look at this one too because I’m always looking for ways to get more gold. The guide itself is well put together and is very easy to follow. There is noobie section which shows some simple and effective ways to get gold straight away.

Movie fan-freaks design costumes and collect Lord of the Rings action figures. Some attend comic book conventions and Renaissance fairs, others play live-action role-playing games (LARPs). The online game World of Warcraft (WoW) has alone lured twelve million users worldwide. Even old-school role-playing games such as Dungeons & Dragons (D&D) are still wildly popular. Who are these gamers and fantasy fans? What explains the irresistible appeal of such “escapist” adventures? And what could one man find if he embarked on a journey through fantasy world after fantasy world? In an enthralling blend of travelogue, pop culture analysis, and memoir, forty-year-old former D&D addict Ethan Gilsdorf crisscrosses America, the world, and other worlds—from Boston to Wisconsin, New Zealand to France, and Planet Earth to the realm of Aggramar. On a quest that begins in his own geeky teenage past and ends in our online gaming future, he asks gaming and fantasy geeks how they balance their escapist urges with the kingdom of adulthood. He questions Tolkien scholars and medievalists. He speaks to grown men who build hobbit holes and speak Elvish, and to grown women who play massively multiplayer online games. He seeks out those who dream of elves, long swords, and heroic deeds, and mentally inhabit faraway magical lands. Gilsdorf records what lures them—old, young, male, female, able-bodied, and disabled—into fantasy worlds, and for what reasons, whether healthy, unhealthy, or in between. Delving deeper and
