Alliance Leveling Guide – Supplemental Information
An Alliance leveling guide, just as its name suggests, is a guide that provides details on how to create an Alliance character from level 1 to level 80. Such guides are very helpful in forging the hero out of your basic character. However, a guide isn’t useful without you knowing some important background information on one of the two factions of races and classes that are battling for the control of the World of Warcraft universe – the Alliance.
{A Brief History on the Alliance}
Otherwise known as the Grand Alliance, the Alliance is a faction that is generally bound by their respect for scared concepts like honor and nobility. This is in contrast with those that bound the Horde, which consists off-worlders and outsiders who survived battles and wars by means of bonding together as comrades through creating uneasy alliances.
The Grand Alliance was once known as the ‘Alliance of Lordaeron’ because its center of leadership was in Lordaeron Empire, a continent in the Eastern Kingdoms which was once a kingdom ruled by humans. At present, the former territories are being fought over by fragments of human resistance forces called the Scourge and the Forsaken as well as the Scarlet Crusade and the Argent Dawn. After the Plague Of Undeath a mystical disease that ravaged the kingdom and neighboring regions, the Alliance moved its major forces to the Eastern Kingdom continents of Azeroth and Khaz Modan.
{Major Members Of The Alliance}
The Alliance is composed of 5 major races: the Draenei of the Exodar, the Humans of Stormwind, Dwarves of Khaz Modan, the Night Elves of Darnassus, and the Gnomes of Gnomeregan. The World of Warcraft: Cataclysm brought a new addition to these races – the Worgen of GLineas which is a conglomeration of the strongest human nations in the World.
{The Draenei }
The Dreanei are the exiles of the planet Argus that is led by one of the planet’s most prominent leaders, Velen. In their quest for a new haven – for the corrupted Ereder treated the renegades as traitors and thus are bent on hunting them down to the ends of the world – they have found the Draenor or the ‘Exile’s Refuge’.
{The Humans}
The Humans are among the foremost founding members of the Grand Alliance when it was still established in Lordaeron. This happened after their primary stronghold – the Stormwind City – was ravaged during the First War.
{The Dwarves}
The Dwarves are essentially a mountain-dwelling class that is devoted to perfecting their two beloved crafts – metal crafting and jewelry. When called to battle, though, the Dwarves are a mighty force to be reckoned with. The Dwarves became a member of the Alliance after their homeland, the Khaz Modan, was desolated by the invasion of the Bleeding Hollow Clan.
{The Gnomes}
The Gnomes of Gnomerigan are arguably the most peculiar race in the World. They are the mad scientists, so to speak, of WoW for their penchant for creating and developing radical technologies that supply the technological wonders of the Alliance.
{The Night Elves }
Finally are the Night Elves who are the first to be born into the world. They are immortals whose regard and general distrust to races they consider lesser in power, stature and abilities have forced them to shut themselves off from the rest of the world in Hyjal, their Holy Mountain and in the forests of Northern Kalimdor. But with the evil stirring their otherwise peaceful – and shadowy – existence, this race swore allegiance to the Alliance.
An Alliance leveling guide is quite obviously useful only for players whose characters are considered part of this faction.
