Warhammer Valkyrie

A good army bulid/strategy for Warhammer 40,000?
Any suggestions for a decent 500-2,000point army build and strategy for Imperial Guard for table top matches(not Dawn of War)? Your Imperial Guard suggesttions dont have to use my army ,but would be easier and more helpful. As of right now I have:
40 Veteran Guardsmen(4 squads)
10 Kasrkins(1 squad)
3 Heavy weapon platforms(lascannons)
2 Scout sentinels
1 Armoured Sentinel
1 Valkyrie
1 Basilisk
1 Leman Russ Battle Tank
1 Chimera
1 Platoon Command squad(5 figures)
1 Company Command squad(5 figures)
1 Tech Priest
As well as a squad of Grey Knights(5 figures)
Well, since IG are soooo good at close combat and have the best aim of any amy in warhammer (:. You should just remember “HEAVY WEAPONS!” LOTS of them. IG can take more heavy weapons then any other army, thake advantage of that. Put heavy weapon squads in your platoons, heavy weapons in your squads. When you think you have too many heavy weapons, add some more. The idea is to creat such a wall of fire that nothing short of an endless swarm will make it threw. And for making a push to capture objectives and stuff throw in some storm troopers, special weapon squads, and some tanks. Don’t become reliant on armour, a lot of IG players do. It takes ONE good shot to kill a tank (unless it has structure points), it takes ten shots to kill a squad of guys.
