Warhammer Orcs And Goblins Spider
What is a good, flexible Warhammer orcs and goblins army?
I just got hooked on Warhammer, and I want to build a good, flexible orc and goblin army. I bought the army book along with The Battle for Skull Pass set, which includes two sets of 20 night goblin spearmen, 20 night goblin archers, 10 forest goblin spider riders. All of the before listed have a champion, a musician, and a standard bearer. Then, I have a troll, a night goblin shaman, and a night goblin big boss/ warboss. I want to include all of these in my army along with a black orc warboss (with the Spiteful shield,a talisman of protection,Warboss Imbad’s Iron Gnashas, and Ulag’s Akrit Axe for massive 1-hit-kills) and a giant. I personally want a army based on the pyschiology rule based on size with immense strength. But I’m open to other good ideas. Also, include tips and tactics for your list. Waaaaaagh!!
P.S. Try to make it up to date with 8th edition (the newest edition I beleive).
In 8th edition you can not spend more than 25% of your points on rare. If you want to include a giant and a troll, then you need an army that is at least 1000 points. Also at least 25% of your army needs to be core units. Here is a good flexible 1246 point army list.

The Orc warboss is better than the black orc warboss because he does not end up killing your own troops. He commands the Orc boys and put the orc boyz 5×4. This unit is designed to charge into the enemy’s elite units. If the enemy has a good protected character, challenge him with your orc warboss.
Put the unit of 40 night goblins in horde formation if the enemy has low armour saves or put them with 8 ranks to keep the unit alive. This unit is cheap and the enemy will find it hard to destroy because of the steadfast rule.
Put the 20 night goblins with bows in a 5×4 formation. They will have 15 shots and still have enough combat bonus to win the odd combat if they are charged by light cavalry. The unit of 10 forest goblin spider riders is good to take out enemy war machines, missile units and other fast cavalry, put these in 5×2 formation.
The rock lobber is good at killing units with large footprints. The probability of hitting large units is good because you no longer have to guess the range. Use this to soften up the enemy units so that when you are in close combat, you will have the advantage.
The troll should support the orc boyz in close combat. Keep the troll close to the Orc warboss so that the troll uses the generals leadership for stupidity tests. The giant is good enough to look after himself. The giant should be careful of enemy missile fire because the giant has no armour save. Get him into close combat with the enemies infantry and try to avoid cavalry charging him.
