Warhammer Lizardmen
Which warhammer fantasy army?
I’m fairly new to warhammer and I wanted to know which of these armiesis best?
Dark elves
wood elves
warriors/daemons of chaos
dwarves
lizardmen
vampire counts
skaven
Well, there really isn’t any one of the that’s outright “best”. Everyone is good at different things. For exaple, the skaven are quite fast, and have a ton of light troops so you can swarm the enemyand just crush them with overwhelming numbers. The same is true of the Vampire Counts, except their army tends to be much slower. You can take massive losses and it won’t matter because you can still have enough guys on the field to stomp the competition (if all goes right, that is)
On the other hand, the Dwarves are a very slow army, but make up for it by being incredibly tough in close combat, and having a nasty amount of magical wargear and war machines, that break down less often than those of Men.
Really, the army you pick is down to you. You could pick the army whose play style you like (do you like to rush into close combat, or to sit back and blast the eney with ranged fire and magic?) or alternatively you could pick an army that you just like the models for! Depending on the way you construct the army (using the main Warhammer rulebook and the relevant Army book), any army can be just as “good” as any other, just maybe not in the same area.

Warhammer: The Game of Fantasy Battles (formerly Warhammer Fantasy Battle and often abbreviated to Warhammer, WFB or WHFB) is a tabletop wargame created by Games Workshop. It is the origin of the Warhammer Fantasy setting. The game has been designed with regiments of fantasy miniatures. It uses stock fantasy races such as humans (The Empire, Bretonnia, Kislev), Elves (Dark Elves, High Elves, Wood Elves) , Dwarfs, Undead, Orcs and Goblins, Vampires, as well as some more unusual types such as Lizardmen, Skaven and the daemonic forces of Chaos.
