Warhammer High Elves Spearmen
Any ideas for converting an army of Warhammer Fantasy Battles High Elves into a Vampire Counts army?
I’ve already made a few spirit hosts out of Elf Spearmen, but I was specifically quite interested to know if anyone had any ideas for converting up skeletons (and giving them the hand-weapon/shield option since Elves are only allowed to be spearmen or archers), vampires of all levels, and Blood Kights. for Zombies I plan to use the standard kit because they really aren’t long dead, and I would only use a Corpse Cart in my “Standard” army because it wouldn’t fit elsewhere.
For the skeletons, you might be able get by with just a standard skelly kit and a bunch of high elf shields, maybe swapping some spear elf heads in as well.
I’d use dragon princes for blood knights, silver helms for black knights.
Sword masters would make good cairn wraiths, basically just painting them as you did your spirit hosts.
As mentioned above you could probably convert out a corpse cart using a chariot and some white lions (the elf models, not the actual lions) the way the are holding their axes should make it fairly easy to cut off the axes and attach chains to their hands an have it end up looking pretty natural.
If you are willing to go outside high elf models, wytches (dark elf) or wardancers (wood elf) might make good ghouls
For all of your armor you also might want to look into using Sophisticated Finishes from Tri-Coat they make some metallic paints that are reactive to solutions that they also sell. The solution will create a patina (corrosion) on the metal. I used is to good effect on a dwarf army I converted to a Vampire army.
