Warhammer Dark Angels
Can I Mix Diffrent Factions Space Marines?
I play Space Marines (Black Tempers) and recently my friend quit out of Warhammer 40k and gave me all his un-painted Figures, I didn’t notice until earlier today that there not normal Space Marines. There Dark Angels. . . . . .
So i was wondering could i paint and add some of the Dark Angels to my Army?
Well, first off: in a totally by-the-books game of wh40k you cannot mix codexes unless they specifically allow you to (such as allies in the Inquisition Codexes), even if they’re both Space Marine Codexes. However, you could mix Dark Angels and Black Templars in a game using the Apocalypse rule-set, or if your opponent agrees to let you use them (I don’t think anyone would have a problem with mixing them). Still, you could probably use the figures as Black Templars – they wear similar robes, and if you mix in some Templar bitz and give them the Black Templar paint scheme, then you could use them as Black Templars.
