I have an army of space marines i have a tactical squad, dreadnought, predator tank, and space marine bike
what should I add a DEVASTATOR SQUAD or a LAND SPEEDER TYPHOON
please pick between these two
Well, out of those two I’d go for the Devastator Squad. A Dev squad isn’t as manoeuvrable as the Land Speeder and it costs more points, but it’s a lot harder to knock out with one hit and – with lascannons and missile launchers able to reach out to 48″ – it can deliver flaming death to dominate a battlefield with canny deployment.
That said, you should be aware that you don’t have a legal army yet. A basic army should consist of at least one HQ choice (you so far have none) and two Troops choices (you have only the one in the form of the Tactical Squad). Moreover, one bike isn’t enough to make a squad – you’ll need at least another two to make up a squadron.
Dreadnoughts tend not to appear in battles of less than 2000 points because they act as great big fire magnets and have a nasty tendency to go “boom” due to their low armour and low manoeuvrability (although they’ll be slightly better at surviving under the new Fifth Edition rules).
So if you were to let me choose something else for you to buy, rather than those two, I’d say that you should get another Tactical Squad. Once you’ve got that, get yourself a commander of some sort (Chaplains are a good bet, especially with a jump pack and an Assault Squad to go along with them!).
