If Republican Tea Party Senate prospect Christine O’Donnell has her way, she’ll serve Delaware in spite of all the debate hovering over her head. First was the creative way O’Donnell referred to her collegiate history. The born-again Protestant has also gone embarrassingly public with her anti-masturbation views. Of late, O’Donnell’s past has surfaced once more, adding newer, stranger flavors to her political pie. O’Donnell had some witchcraft stories to share on a 1999 episode of the TV show “Politically Incorrect”. Christine O’Donnell may mean Wicca, rather than witchcraft
Christine O’Donnell may not know witchcraft, according to the Wiccan data available at the Australian website Witchcraft.com. Elaborating within the video clip below, she claims she went on a date where there was a “Satanic altar” present. Wicca, according to Witchcraft.com, is rather different than some fever dream of primordial evil. It celebrates nature and its cycles when abandoning the silly pretenses society prescribes on the faith via superstition. As nature takes no sides, Wicca is also neutral. Whether Christine O’Donnell’s Senate aspirations will continue to endure is questionable, but fellow Republicans reportedly would love to see her either keep quiet or vanish to the mists of Avalon.
‘I never joined a coven,’ claimed O’Donnell
O’Donnell says the witchcraft was merely a chapter in her young life. O’Donnell is not a Wiccan now, but that doesn’t matter much to the reputation cops of the political stage. Even GOP strategist exemplar Karl Rove is at a loss when it comes to bailing this woman out. He has jumped on the “she cannot win” bandwagon. Indiana Rep. Mike Pence has demanded that O’Donnell step forward to explain her statements. While Delaware voters are the ones who’ll ultimately decide whether O’Donnell is fit to serve the state in the Senate, Rove is seriously concerned about her “background, character, statements and previous actions,” as he recently told “Fox News Sunday”.

As if Christine O’Donnell and witchcraft were not enough, now Raw Story accounts the Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington has filed a complaint against O’Donnell. The allegation is that she used $ 20,000 in campaign funds for personal expenditures. If O’Donnell is indeed guilty, such would not be unheard of within the game of politics. But that certainly does not make it right. The Tea Party spectacle claims she’s all about fiscal responsibility in government too, which could come back to bite her.
