Star Wars Trilogy Blue Ray
What format will the Star Wars Trilogy come out on, Blue Ray or HD DVD?
This is a tougher question. Fox is currently a Blu Ray exclusive, and Fox produced the first Star Wars movies. But George Lucas actually owns the remaining 5 sequels, and he can do whatever he wants. He may have even picked up the rights to the original Star Wars somewhere along the way. So it will come out on whatever format Lucas deems it. It’s a unique situation as all other movies are owned by studios.
It was recently stated that Star Wars would no appear on either format until one format won the war. Below is a link to some discussion on the topic. So I wouldn’t expect anything soon.
