Where can I buy the complete Star Wars set?

I want to buy my boyfriend the Star Wars sextilogy for Christmas and was wondering if anyone knows where I can buy the complete set of all six movies on DVD.

The 6 Star Wars movies have NOT yet been released in a “sextilogy” … that is slated to happen in the fall of 2011 … that’s also when they will be coming out on Blu Ray. The best you’re going to find is a box set for each trilogy.

Another thing to take into account is that there are actually 3 versions of the OT (Original Trilogy – Episodes 4 – 6) movies. There are the original originals that came out in 1977, 1980, & 1983 … the SE versions of the films that were re-released to theaters in 1997 … the DVD versions that came out on DVD in 2004. The original originals came out on DVD in 2006. There are some on this forum that will tell you that the SE versions and the DVD versions are the same thing … this is 100% wrong. In truth the SE versions were NEVER released on DVD & according to Lucas never will be. The 3 different versions of the movies are all the same base movie. The SE versions have enhanced sound & FX with some altered and added scenes. The DVD versions are the SE versions with the sound & FX enhanced even more and a few more altered and/or added scenes.

The following link from Amazon.com is the OT box set that was put out in 2004 with a bonus disc. Don’t let the fact that the page the link goes to says 1980 as the release date … it is a typo on that page:

To get the original originals on DVD is a little more problematic as they were never released in a box set. The were released in 3 two disc sets. The 2 disc sets have a copy of the original original and the DVD versions from 2004. The following links will take you to those items:
