Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds Mac
Can I play this game on a Macbook?
I wanted to buy my brother (who is a star wars fanatic) Star Wars Galactic Battleground for Christmas, however, I tried to download a demo to see if it was good and it won’t play on my Macbook. I have an Intel Macbook with Mac OS X 10.5.8. Every time I try to play the game it says “DrawSprocket cannot switch to the requested resolution (800×600, 8 bit, 1 buffer(s)).” I tried changing the display but the same message comes up. Anyone have any idea how to fix this problem?
Would the PC Version work on Windows XP?
The game is trying to switch the video card into a color mode less than a million colors. Macs no longer support this obsolete video mode. One of the reasons Windows is unstable is that Microsoft insists on supporting every standard that ever existed – even if it is one that is rarely used, and unneeded when it is used. The Windows version of the game will run on Windows XP.
