Star Wars Books Kids

Is Star Wars the Clone Wars television show messing up everything?
It seems like the show is messing up alot with the movies and comics. Several things like..
- The mandalorian episodes they did screwed up the Republic Commando series and thats why the author will no longer write Star Wars books.
- I dont really see much of anakins dark side in the show. I know the cartoon is aim for kids but they need to show that he will become vader later on.
- In the start of the 3rd movie they fight Count Dooku and anakin says hes gotten alot stronger from that last time they fought and I always assumed he was talking about their dual in attack of the clones but they have fought maybe once or twice in the cartoon?
- Also anakin gets a padwan randomly. She just randomly showed up. She was never mentioned in the books, comics or movies.
Only to those who don’t take the time to actually look into the supposed “messing up” parts. Not buying into the sad dribble that Karen Traviss has been spewing on every fan board & blog that is willing to let her whine on about how Lucas is ruining HER story. I got a “news flash” for Ms. Traviss … Star Wars isn’t HER story … it is George’s story … she was just given a chance to write a part of it for him. Let’s clear up one pretty huge thing that you have wrong about her. The changes Lucas is making to the story is NOT the reason that Traviss “will no longer write Star Wars books” … the reason is that Lucas fired her for her outbursts & her belief that SHE was the only one who could write anything about the Mandalorian Culture. Add on top of that the fact that every other author in the pool of authors that Lucas allows to write in the EU categorically stated that they would not work with her after all the fuss she caused during the writing of the “Legacy of The Force” story arc. Don’t get me wrong, she is a great writer and she brought a depth to the Mandalorian Culture that wasn’t there before and did it very well. The simple truth is that nothing that has been shown in the TV show actually contradicts a single thing that Traviss wrote. All Lucas has done is to show that there was a split in the Mando culture … one side was the peace loving side that has been shown in the CW show and the other was the “warrior” side that is shown in her books and in the movies with the Fetts and so on. That is ALL.
You don’t really see much of Anakin’s “dark side” in the show because you’re NOT SUPPOSED to see it in this show and it isn’t because the show is for “kids”. Lucas has repeatedly stated that his main goal with the character of Anakin in the CW show is to show how he became the legendary Jedi Hero that he was seen as before his fall to the dark side.
The thing about the fights with Dooku … well all I can say about that is that this is what happens when you “assume” something.
Anakin gets a padawan “randomly” … she was never mentioned in the books, comics, or movies … Of Course she wasn’t. That’s the whole point of the CW show … to tell us what happened in the three years between ep II & ep III that we hadn’t been told yet … like the simple fact that after Anakin was elevated to the level of Jedi Knight he was assigned a padawan … kind of like most Jedi Knights were during the Clone Wars. The same thing could have been said about Asajj Ventress when she popped up in the Clone Wars Micro Series in 2003 – 2004 … we hadn’t heard about her before. How about the “shocker” from tonight’s episode … that she is actually a Nightsister from Dathomir. Never knew that before either. Not knowing something doesn’t mean that it’s wrong … it means you just didn’t know about it before.
May The Force Be With You …
