Star Trek Kindle Books
A question for Star Trek fans?

So this friend of mine sends me this link all happy about this device called a Kindle. I check out the link, and I see it’s nothing more than a screen where you can read books at.
The thing that really caught my attention is how much it is like the books people use on Star Trek.
Specially on the Deep Space Nine series, one could always see the characters reading books from flat screens. They would jsut call them books, not Kindles. But it’s pretty much the same thing.
Shouldn’t Star Trek say something???
I saw a program on the History channel not too long ago detailing modern inventions that were inspired by Star Trek. The way cell phones pop open for instance is very much like a hand-held communicator on the old Star Trek series. Star Trek can’t really patent a nonspecific theoretical device design so it’s really fair game in the real world!
