I have a “Gateway” computer (2006 or so) and a CD ROM PC game made by IBM (1995) will this game work on my PC?

the game is “star trek, the next generation: a final unity”
so it is definitely a worthy cause!

Probably. There are indeed a few game titles out there that will actually not run on newer operating systems, but I doubt there is any problem with this one working.
