Parodies Invade The Adult Funny Industry
Virtually every popular main line flick or television show will have its title and basic elements of its plot morphed into a porn video. This fact of adult entertainment is even more certain than death and taxes. The porn industry actually only has one product to sell. That’s's graphic depictions of people having sex. Naturally this makes things extremely competitive with each production company looking for an edge in the marketplace. The gay porn industry has its members always trying to stick out, while the straight porn industry is generally trying to discover a niche to squeeze into, If You Know What I Mean. ( Stop groaning, I may have made the puns much worse. ) So very like Hollywood itself, the porn industry is now exploiting that which is successful by making adult funny videos based primarily on your favourite sitcoms.
There are entire web sites devoted to listing precise porn rip offs of popular media. It is also a standard game to take ordinary media titles and see how many porn titles they can be twisted into. Most of the times the only parody is the title. Curiously, the present hot trend in the porn industry is for high-budget, well-made parodies ( well, higher-budget and better-made, anyhow ) that re-create what they’re spoofing with careful attention to detail… But which reject parody titles in favor of just taking the original title and sticking ‘Not’ in front of it or ‘a parody’ afterwards.
Examples : Star Whores ( Episode IV : A New Hole ), Muffy the Vampire Layer, Lord of the G-Strings, An Officer and a gentleman and Golden Retriever, Top Gun.
But now comes the arrival of REAL adult funny videos that parody real sitcoms. Yes, we all knew it might come to this. In the darkest recesses of the Net, people have been writing slash-fiction for years — fantasies of what fans wished would occur between Sam and Frodo, Willow and Tara, and yes, even Kirk and Spock. A quick search for cut fic will give you more data on the hobby than you almost certainly ever required or needed to know.
Of course, the adult industry picked up on this trend, offering up plenty of XXX take-offs of franchises like Pirates of the Caribbean, Star Trek, and the sarcastic horror-porn take on Re-Animator, cheekily called Re-Penetrator. Local NYC “cinema of transgression” filmmaker Nick Zedd even made a film that took its name from Lord of the Rings, in a play on words that I am sure you can decode or Google for your edification. Let’s not even debate the adult parody of Edward Scissorhands.
So now there’s not simply a sparkly Twilight sex toy, but 2 Twilight naughty knock-offs. First there had been Twilight of Virginity ( shot in the home of Nikki Sixx ), and now there’s another one called This Isn’t Twilight : The XXX Parody coming your way October 15th, just over a month before Twilight : New Moon is freed on audiences.
the $64000 question is, who are these sold to? Even the grown-ups who enjoy the Twilight franchise say that the fun is due to the way it portrays high school crushes — craving, unconsummated, and certainly virginal, especially in the case of this sex-phobic book series. Will a hardcore porny parody of Twilight and this advent of adult funny videos really work?
