First Aid

Most experienced players will tell you to always take first aid on all your characters. This will help reduce resting time and can save your life in desperate fights.

With first aid, you can make and apply bandages made from cloth. I find it takes more bandages tolevel than you will ever use.  I usually npc sell them. They do not sell well on the auction house. You have to have first aid to use them, and so people are usually making them for themselves.

All the starter areas have a first aid trainer. I suggest talking to them as soon as possible. As you level your first aid it will take more cloth and higher levels of cloth to make the bandages. Once you get to the point you can start running instances, this will never be a problem. I get enough cloth in 1 instance run to level first aid from 1-120 easily.

One thing to note about using first aid in a fight. Any damage you take will interrupt the

bandaging process. However, you still have to wait for the cool down to use another bandage.

Cooking

Cooking is one of the most critical skills in World of Warcraft. Even at low levels, the status boosts from can be the difference between dying and succeeding in a fight. As you advance and the boosts become better, this is even more so. Cooking is simple to learn. You just need a campfire, or cooking fire, and the right ingredients.

Seeing a cooking trainer often will make sure you are up to date on all the recipes for your level. Cooking can also give a moderate income, selling at the auction house.

Even though most people will advise you learn it, many people are too lazy or just do not want to take the time,

and buy their food. If you are leveling skinning, you do not even have to go out of your way to level it. Most of the ingredients you will need drop off the enemies you will be skinning. Fishing is also a great companion to cooking, since you can cook the fish you catch.

Fishing

Fishing is one of the most underused World of Warcraft professions. It is easy to do. Yes, it is boring. It is tedious. However, it can also make you a lot of money.

Fishing along with cooking will level both skills quickly. You can also sell the fish you catch. Many of them are used in other crafts like alchemy, and cooking. Since many people do not take the time to level it, there is supply and demand.

I also find that some of the best spots for fishing are always empty. If you want an easy way to make some money, investing some time in fishing could be one of your greatest assets.

One note I have found, although you can fish inside the cities, skill ups seem to be better if you go into the wild areas. In addition, the fish you catch seem to be higher quality, at least in my experience.

In the final section on this World of Warcraft professions guide, I will go over the professions I believe to be the best for making money quickly.
