Paladin leveling Specs for Protection
Protection Paladins are your best tanking option. They focus on increasing defense and stamina, and generating threat from enemies. If you choose to follow this talent tree, you will be specializing in single hand combat with a shield. While focusing your talents in this tree can be fun in-group, if you are soloing it can make leveling a challenge. You will be able to outlast almost anything that comes at you. However, damage is minimal and fights will take a long time.

Retribution Paladins is one of the best soloing specs in the game. You are focused on two-handed weapon fighting, dealing damage and generating threat. This is great for grouping and soloing, and is the best tree to use while leveling up. While you will not be the best DPS in the game, you will do good damage, and some tanking is still an option in a pinch. This is also the best Paladin leveling spec tree if you are interested in PvP.

Used mainly in High-level groups, it can mean the death or survival of a tank. This talent tree is not recommended for leveling. You can keep yourself alive but grinding will take much more time.
