Orc Warhammer
Can I put a Warhammer orc onto a goblin base?
I want to include an Orc Big Boss in my goblin unit, but the larger Orc base doesn’t fit in well with the smaller goblin bases, and messes the unit up. Can I instead put the Orc on the smaller base to make the unit look and line up correctly?
Strictly by the rules, no. For a tournament-style game models must be mounted on the bases they came with (or with which they are normally packaged). The regiment must still conform to all rules on ranking-up (so the same number of models in each rank) and any asymmetry in the regiment’s appearance is just the price you pay for pursuing this unconventional tactic.
However, for friendly play I shouldn’t think it’ll matter terribly. You might want to do two Big Bosses – one on a 25mm base and one on a 20mm base – just in case you should meet an opponent with a chip on his shoulder.
