Metal Gear Solid Twin Snakes Ps2

The MGS4 trailer is confusing the hell out of me. Do I have to play every previous MGS game before buying MGS4
I have a modded XBOX with NES and SNES games and it has the 1st Metal Gear game for NES. I don’t want to play the NES game cuz the graphics are old. Should I just buy all the PS1, and PS2 games that are Metal Gear Solid and beat them. I looked it up, there is 1 called Snaker Eater, Sons of Liberty, Twin Snakes, and Solid Snake. I think Snake is the main character and there’s some robot fighting going on. Very strange, but kinda cool.
Playing the previous Metal Gear Solid 1 – 3, will only enhanced the gaming experience for MGS4. You don’t need to play Metal Gear 1 (1987) and Metal Gear 2 (1990), Metal Gear Solid 1 (1998) sums those two up in a text summary in the “extra” menu. MGS4, will however, have flashbacks when making references to the previous games for newbies like you. But, really, there is absolutely WAY TOO much going on in the Metal Gear Series that even if you watch the flashbacks, you still won’t truly know what the hell is going on. Its IS a good idea to start the previous games starting on Playstation.
If you don’t want to play the previous games, email me and I will send you a huge summary that you can read. Even though this summary is about 34 pages long, it only covers about 85% of the material (Metal Gear is just that deep).
