Metal Gear Solid on PS3?
In the PS store they have metal gear solid for sale as a download. Does this mean it gets saved to my hard disk? also, this may sound dumb but the Dual shock 3 will work with it right? Is the game worth it, or should i get the Essential Collection for 10 dollars more, which has all 3 games on discs. Would the Dualshock 3 work with these games? or do i need a ps2 controller and adapter. my ps3 is backwards compatible. Thanks.
Yes, when you download Metal Gear Solid, it will get saved onto your PS3′s HDD.
Yes, DualShock 3 will work on that game. You can also copy the game onto a PlayStation Portable and play it from there without losing any savedata!
If you can shell out the extra 10 bones, go for the Collection. You will be able to use your DualShock 3 (vibration and all) with that Collection.
It’s your choice. If you feel like having a PS3 and PSP copy of MGS1, purchase the one from the PlayStation Store. If you want all 3 past MGS’s, take the Collection.
