Lord of the Rings Online Leveling Guide – The Best Way To Level Up
If you are starting out in Lotro and not knowing which way to go, let me help you decide. I have been playing Lotro since closed beta, and before that I have been involved in many other MMO’s. What I did learn from all of these is that each MMO has its own leveling way. A Lord of the Rings Online leveling guide would point out the way you should level in Lotro.
How do I know this? I saw a few and realized that they certainly give you the fastest way to level, but they also take out that certain atmosphere a MMO gives people. After seeing my first Lord of the Rings Online leveling guide I was curious, is questing the fastest way to level? Thus I dissected the 2 possible ways of getting XP, grinding and questing. In other games grinding was more efficient than questing, but we all know how repetitive grinding can get and it can kill your gaming experience.
In Lotro, however, grinding is definitely not an option, especially at high levels when the mobs have all sorts of debuffs that basically take away half of your levels worth of attributes. But then you think that quests do give a large amount of XP upon completion in addition to the XP you get while completing it, but they can also be very hard to do, or you simply can’t find the location you need so you end up losing a lot of time. Questing also gives you a purpose, besides the overall purpose which is to get to the maximum level, while when grinding you don’t really have a purpose except that of not dying. As I can see it, there aren’t ways to improve the way you grind in Lotro to achieve more in less time, but you can improve on the questing part by getting information on quests so you will never get lost or waste time on a quest which wasn’t meant to be done by a solo player.
