In a video game world?

I was a character in a video game (my dream was set in a animated world looked like a video game, though not all parts, some were live-action). The dream was set in a fantasy world with castles, dungeons and mythical creatures. I was on a perilous adventure to kill the bad guy that looked like Palpatine from Star Wars, when I got to the final act (to face him), I woke up. On my adventure, there were obstacles that looked like big wheels falling from mountains and rolling down us (my companions), and one died (he was a dwarf).

My guess would be that “Palpatine” is someone that you could see as “not on your side”, i.e. a nagging mother wanting you to get married or maybe a boss that keeps making to high of expectations from you. Your perilous journey would be all the efforts you’ve felt you’ve made to make this person happy and all they do is keep throwing things at you that maybe be hurtful(big wheels) and maybe out of your hands at the moment(fantasy creatures). You woke up before you could defeat the villain because the situation is still unresolved and the death means a new beginning is immanent.
